journalist & Content creator

I’m an Ottawa-based writer and content creator who helps connect organizations and products to their desired audiences. With a bachelor degree in global development and a master of journalism, I bring a strong understanding of how policy, power and institutions shape lives and how to communicate that impact clearly.
I have experience turning data into multimedia pieces using tools like Adobe and Tableau, and editing audio and video. During my time at Global News’ parliamentary bureau, I worked under tight deadlines, led pre-recorded interviews for broadcast, and adapted stories across formats. Working with Roots Music Canada taught me how to tailor content for specific audiences, turning news about federal regulations into engaging stories for artists.
Whether it’s translating federal-level policy issues into local consequences or covering community-led responses to crises, I can craft stories that are informative with diverse projects about the broader community impact of intimate partner violence in the Ottawa Valley. By reporting in communities experiencing violence, I have become comfortable working with nuanced topics in ways that are accurate, trauma-informed, and grounded in lived experience.
Prior to becoming a journalist, I managed three locations of rural Ottawa’s busiest ice cream store, while running their social media accounts. In collaboration with the production manager, I drove up audience metrics and sales through creative posts and emails that boosted product promotions and kept customers engaged in the dead of winter.
